Dear representatives of CETAF members,
The call for applications for the first ever
E-SCORE award closed on January 31, 2020. The call can be considered a success: it attracted 26 applications most of which came from or were nominated by different CETAF member institutions (3 applications, however, had to be disqualified based on the eligibility
criteria).
The Executive Committee (EC) has agreed on the following:
1.
An ad hoc evaluation committee will be set up to select the recipient of the award from amongst the eligible applicants.
2.
The secretary of the EC, Professor Gila Kahila Bar-Gal, has been nominated as Chair of the evaluation committee.
3.
CETAF members are asked to nominate candidates for the evaluation committee. The nominated candidate should have appropriate scientific expertise and experience, and be stationed at a CETAF member organisation.
We encourage diversity as regards gender, career stage, area of expertise etc.
4.
The nominations should be sent by e-mail to Gila (gila.kahila@mail.huji.ac.il)
at the latest on February 24. Please add a link to a webpage containing a description of the proposed candidate’s work and achievements or, if such a link is not available, please attach a brief CV to the e-mail.
5.
The EC will select 2–5 committee members by the end of February, and Gila as chair will convene the committee and take the evaluation process forward.
On behalf of the Executive Committee,
Leif
