The BGE EU funded project is asking for your specimens and your taxonomic expertise. Please the see message below from the BGE team: 

We are contacting you on behalf of the EU-funded BGE project (https://biodiversitygenomics.eu/), of which one of the aims is to accelerate the DNA barcoding of species in Europe, for biodiversity monitoring applications. One way to achieve this is to barcode identified specimens from museum and private collections across Europe. We have already started this effort and have prioritised specimens that are missing in genetic barcode reference libraries according to this gap list: https://bioscan-germany.de/gap_list/

However, we are still looking for partners to provide specimens from the abovementioned list that have not yet been found in our collections. In addition, we are also looking for specific taxonomic expertise to help us identify species.

If you have any specimens (fresh or dried specimens) to offer with a European geographical range, or if you have a particular taxonomic expertise, please let us know. We would be very happy for your contribution to a complete barcode reference library of species in Europe!
