Dear Ana,
Four members of the Steinhardt Museum team will take part in the Biodiversity_Next meeting:
Dr. Netta Dorchin, Chief Curator of Entomology (formerly of the Alexander Koenig Museum) and Head of our museum’s Entomology Group – insect taxonomist, systematist, and ecologist.
Dr. Tamar Feldstein-Farkash, Manager of the museum’s join molecular systematics laboratory – marine biologist and molecular systematist.
Dr. Ofir Levy, new faculty member of our School of Zoology – physiological ecologist, modeler, and computer programmer, who is now entering the leadership of the museum’s biodiversity database.
Ittai Renan, Director of Hamaarag – Israel’s National Nature Assessment Program – that monitors biodiversity and the state of Israel’s terrestrial ecosystems.
The CETAF meeting overlaps a local holiday, so apparently only one of us, Ittai Renan, will be in Leiden these days, and I hope he can join the meeting.
Unfortunately Dr. Omri Bronstein and I are unable to join this meeting, which conflicts with another in Israel, to which we are committed.
However, I hope that our team members get a chance to meet you during the conference. We are keen to participate in the different initiatives, and now that finally we are in our new museum building and everything
is operational, we can actually dedicate proper time and attention.
On Thursday I will write to you specifically regarding DISSco and ABS.
Best wishes,
Tamar

Subject: [CETAF_Members] ATTENDANCE TO CETAF 46th Governing Board Meeting
Importance: High
Dear CETAF colleagues,
CETAF46 and with it Biodiversity_Next are fast approaching. And while we know that we will see many of you for both events, it is imperative for us, and especially the organisers,
to have an exact idea of who will attend the CETAF meeting.
So may we ask you, if you have not already done so, to please send as soon as possible a very brief e-mail to
info@cetaf.org and tell us:
-
whether you and/or somebody else from your
institution will join the CETAF meeting (if you already know that no one will represent your institution, please let us know as well),
-
whether you will attend the welcome
reception at Naturalis on Sunday 19 October in the evening and/or the official
dinner on Monday 20 October,
-
and whether you have any
dietary requirements.
Thank you very much for your cooperation and look forward to seeing you in Leiden!
Kind regards,
