Dear CETAF colleagues,

The network of national and regional funding agencies for biodiversity and ecosystem-services research BiodivERsA has published its latest joint call. This one is another great opportunity enabling important research and carries the title “Biodiversity and Climate Change”.

Research teams will be invited to form transnational research consortia with eligible partners from minimum 3 countries participating in the call. Applicants have to follow a two-stage process, meaning that pre-proposals will have to be submitted until 5 November 2019. Chosen candidates will then submit a full proposal until 10 April 2020.

Within the overarching topic, there are four so-called non-exlusive themes:

  • Consequences of climate change on biodiversity and nature’s contributions to people
  • Climate-biodiversity feedback processes
  • Potential of nature-based solutions for mitigating and adapting to climate change
  • Synergies and trade-offs between policies on biodiversity, climate and other relevant sectors, and the role of agents of change

If any CETAF member is interested in submitting a proposal, the General Secretariat offers to facilitate the search for partners and overall support. Please contact us to discuss any further steps, if necessary.

All the necessary information and call documentation can be found here.

Kind regards,

ANA CASINO
