Dear CETAF colleagues,
The European Commission has recently launched a new consultation on future objectives for EU-funded research and innovation. This open survey gives us the
opportunity to position CETAF, its members, and its research topics towards these new research priorities. The EC would like to hear from us what we think are the most pressing challenges that EU-funded research and innovation should tackle and
which are the most important impacts – scientific, technological, economic, societal – that EU-funded research and innovation should target.
This consultation is important in the context of the preparation of the work programme of Horizon Europe. The results will inform the work to prepare a ‘Strategic Plan’ for the new research programme which will cover the first four years
(2021 – 2024). You can access the consultation here:
https://ec.europa.eu/eusurvey/runner/HorizonEurope_Codesign_2021-2024. Deadline for participation is
8 September 2019.
We would much appreciate that you share with us with your contributions to this consultation since those will be equally useful to
develop our own CETAF Research Agenda currently in progress. So, if you participate in this survey please give us notice of your participation and a copy of your responses.
In this context, CETAF will also be present at the
European Research and Innovation Days in Brussels from 24 to 26 September 2019, an event which includes co-design sessions on Horizon Europe. We think it would be important for CETAF and its members to be well represented, so if
you can make it, please register on the event’s website. If you register for the conference, please inform the CETAF General Secretariat to allow for easy coordination.
