Dear CETAF colleagues,

As you are all well aware, CETAF is co-organising the Biodiversity_next conference from 21-25 October 2019 in Leiden, The Netherlands. This milestone event will bring together major international organisations, researchers, and policy makers. You all are probably also aware that it can sometimes be challenging for early career researchers to gain access to an event of this scale.

For this reason, our MOBILISE Cost Action offers Conference Grants for this specific target audience, specially focusing on PhD students and early-career investigators (ECI) from Inclusiveness Target Countries (ITC) . To support them, there is a call for requesting financial support to attend the Conference, and in particular the symposia and workshops linked to the COST action MOBILISE.

To be eligible for applying for those Grants, candidates must fulfil all the requirements below

  1. Be a PhD student or ECI
  2. Be affiliated with an institution in an ITC country that participates in the MOBILISE Action;
  3. Have already submitted an abstract for an oral presentation or poster to be included in the Biodiversity_Next programme; and
  4. Have a fully updated e-COST profile.

Applications are now open (register for an e-COST account first) and you can find all further information, e.g. on specifics regarding the eligibility requirements or which ITC countries currently participate in MOBILISE, on the MOBILISE Website.

The Formal applications period for MOBILISE ITC conference grants will close on Friday 31 May at 12.00 (noon) UTC.

Please, circulate this tremendous opportunity within your networks so that many young researchers can apply for these grants.

Kind regards,
