Dear Ana,

Indeed this is great news and thanks to all your effort on this important issue.

We are all missing Johan Bodgard, especially at the Swedish Museum of Natural History, he was very dedicated to the ABS work both on an international scale, as well as within Sweden and the Natural history museum.

Warm regards,

Per

Ämne: [CETAF_Members] European Commission Recognition of CETAF CoC on ABS

Dear All,

After our successful CETAF45 Governing Board meeting in Tartu, Estonia, I am delighted to share with you the fantastic news that I have just received. The CETAF Code of Conduct on ABS has just become the first best practices guidelines on ABS to be officially recognized by the European Commission.

This is a huge success for our community that exemplifies where our collaborative work can take us. I would like to say a big thank you to the CETAF Legislation and Regulations WG co-chairs Chirs Lyal, NHM London and Dirk Neumann, SNSB Munich for their leadership and the Legislation Group Core Team for their dedication, motivation and hard work!

Special gratitude is due to the late Johann Bodegard for his permanent support and valuable contributions to this collaborative work.

I would also like to thank you all for your support of this CETAF endeavor!

With my best regards,

Ana Casino

Executive Director of CETAF
