I have been kindly invited to provide a presentation at the Italian
Geological Society (SGI) and the Italian Society of Mineralogy and
Petrology (SIMP): Geology for sustainable management of our planet. 3 -
5th September

As some of you mentioned previously that it would be great to submit a
abstract on behalf of the CETAF ESG, I have drafted one here:

The deadline for abstracts is the 26th April, so I suggest for you to
please provide your feedback by Wednesday 17th April.

  I was thinking that the talk could cover some examples for CETAF
institutions were collections have be used to address the following
exploitation/sustainabilty of natural resources, environmental
management, biodiversity loss, climate changes, natural hazards. Also it
could cover the work we have been doing on developing a best practice
guide for the use of standards and vocabulary, and GeoCASe.
