Dear colleagues,

I am forwarding an email from someone who was interested in the work of
the Earth Science Group. They are not a member but they where asking for
some advice on the digitisation/standardisation of rock samples and thin
sections? there institute is not an official member of CETAF so is
unable to join our mailing list but i was wondering if you could have
some advice to give.

Dear Laura,
thanks for information,  I was afraid of losing the email due to
antispam.
Our main interest now is the standard for digitization of geological
collections, because we would start with the right foot!
For the micropaleontological samples we can do with darwin core, but it
is not so clear for the rock samples and thin sections.
What does the group of cetaf geologists suggest to us?
