Apologies if you have received this already but I am forwarding this survey on the use of persistent identifiers as part of the DiSSCo initiative. I’m forwarding it firstly as it asks if correspondents represent a CETAF Group and secondly because I had several conversations at Biodiversity Next at Leiden about IGSNs (International Geoscience Numbering System). I have not read the accompanying documentation but the colleague that forwarded it to me said that IGSNs are mentioned. It would also tie in with discussions re: GeoCASe.

Perhaps this could be added as an item for the agenda for the next meeting? The deadline for this survey is 12^th December so some sort of response should be sent before then as this is unlikely to be before our next meeting. We at least need to “be at the table” unless any of our members have already submitted? Let us know if you have.
