Betreff: Paleobiology and Earth Sciences Interest Group Charter for TDWG
Cc:
Dear member of the Biodiversity Information Standards (TDWG) Paleo Interest Group,
The TDWG executive committee has requested that the Paleo Interest Group merge with the Extension For Geosciences (EFG) Task group in order to reduce the ever expanding number of interest
groups and task groups. Attached is a revised charter that integrates the goals and activities of these two groups into a new group called the Paleobiology and Earth Sciences Interest Group.
We welcome your comments and suggestions on the draft charter. Please feel free to forward them to me by email. Also, if you are interested in serving as a core member of the group, feel
free to add your name to that section. Finally, if you know of anyone else who might be interested in the activities of the group please feel free to forward this charter to them as well.
The executive committee will be meeting on 20 October during the Biodiversity Next conference to ratify the new charter so please send any comments or suggestions before then.
Best regards,
Denné
